Tele-home care, mobile apps, and remote patient monitoring solutions for the Canadian healthcare market.

Connected Independence assists with options to provide peace of mind, dignity and cost savings as our loved ones age in place.

Worry about aging loved ones is a common and growing concern for many Canadians. It is natural to want to remain in your own home as long as possible, yet as people age, their families and caregivers become concerned for their safety. There are questions about daily living. The consistency of medication is in doubt – is it being taken when it should be? Concerns arise about what would happen if a loved one falls. It can be difficult to keep in touch with the community if mobility is decreasing, leading to isolation and loneliness. Families may feel that their only option is an assisted living facility, yet their loved one may not yet need this level of care and may be resistant to the idea.

In Canada, those 65 years of age and older currently number almost four million, and this number is rapidly increasing. This demographic shift requires an educated response in how professionals work with the challenges and opportunities seniors face.

Connected Independence serves the Greater Victoria region, assisting caregivers, family members and empowered seniors with issues of aging in place.  Connected Independence facilitates the use of technology to provide peace of mind to caregivers while maintaining the dignity of loved ones and clients.

Proudly serving the GLBT seniors community.
